Organic agriculture attempts to imitate Organic farming
a natural ecosystem by using plant and animal based compost and rock powders for fertilizers.

Insects are controlled by biological means as well as botanical insecticides. Organic farmers believe that healthy soil produces healthy plants which have a natural vigor, insect resistance, and a higher content of vitamins and minerals.

Crops grown with nitrogen based fertilizers (conventional) take up much more water than organically grown ones-thus diluting nutrients, sugars, and flavors. So, organic produce really does taste better.

Organic produce is also free of residues from poisons, such as powerful insecticides and fungicides. However, we suggest that you wash our produce so that it is free of dirt and stray insects.

Organic farming Food travels an average of 1,300 miles from farm to supermarket. Pollution and fossil fuel usage can be reduced by supporting local farms. By buying local foods, you are insuring the protection of farm land in your region.

Good farming practices help to repair soil damage thus reducing the effects of drought which climate changes have made more frequent.

Smaller farms not only use land more efficiently than larger farms, the small scale organic farm comes closest to the ideal farm ecosystem. Dozens of different crops are planted in fields in which long, elaborate rotations are practiced.

The small organic farm achieves a richer biodiversity and is therefore more sustainable and healthy.
